  • Louis Sargeant
    • I am a championship winning boxer, accomplished martial arts instructor and an experienced coach who has been actively involved in the Vancouver and Richmond, BC, fitness communities since 1994.

      With my extensive training background, I have developed my own training regime. I believe you can better motivate people by working out with them and providing positive encouragement, rather than simply yelling at them, a common complaint by many people looking to get in shape. I don't believe in diets; instead I encourage my clients to combine regular exercise with healthy eating. It is this attitude towards training that has kept me in top form after I retired from Professional Boxing and helped countless others reach their own personal fitness goals.

      I ran Thunder Boxing, a boxing, kickboxing and self-defense gym in Richmond since 2000. I was commissioned by the Plaza Hotel to produce self-defense training videos for their security staff.

      An accomplished boxer, I have over 25 years of boxing experience, 11 years of that fighting professionally. I retired as the Washington State Champion in the Super-Middleweight Division, the only Canandian to ever win that title. At the peak of my carrer, I achieved world ranking of 76 out of 5000 boxers in my division. I am also a black belt in Taekwondo having trained for 14 years and taught for 6.

      I was born in Georgetown, Guyana and lived there until the age of 11 then moved to Calgary. I was always active in sports, but it wasn't until I discovered my heroes Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan that I entered the martial arts world in which I excelled. I accepted a wrestling scholarship at the University of Calgary and coached track & field at Calgary high schools over the course of 3 years. I entered the professional boxing arena in 1999, skipping the amateur scene. I am a self-made fighter, having managed my training, career choices and promotion right from the start.



  • Saeid Mirzaei
    • I am a champion MMA fighter and a passionate trainer actively competing to this day. I started martial arts at age 7 and won my first title in 2010. Since then I have become a 2 division BFL champion in the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions. In 2015, I won the 205 lbs world championships and became the only Canadian to hold an amateur world title in MMA for the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation. In April of this year, I won the 185 lbs MMA nationals.

      Besides competing myself, I have been training people for over 4 years in areas of Boxing, Self Defense, Jiu Jitsu , Kickboxing, and weight loss.

      Since my life has been so positively influenced by my martial arts journey, I love to share my knowledge with people who like to learn new skills while reaching their individual fitness goals.

      Born in Rasht, Iran, I immigrated to Canada in 2002 after my family was politically threatened by the Iranian government. These experiences have not only taught me to persevere through difficulties but have also influenced my martial arts career tremendously.
